Getting GUSTO: Day 3~ Tacoma to Twin Lakes

Checked out of the Cedarbrook Lodge this morning around 8:30 after one more good breakfast. We met Conner at a different boatyard where he already had Gusto loaded up and had wrapped up the final punch-list details. We got her hitched up and trailered a short distance to a truck stop where we topped off with diesel and officially pointed the rig east toward Idaho.

The Ram handled the boat beautifully. The trailer tracked straight and true, and with the weight of the Ranger behind us the whole setup felt surprisingly stable and comfortable on the road. It didn’t take long before the miles started rolling by.

Our first leg brought us to Ellensburg for a coffee and cinnamon roll stop — one of those road-trip necessities. From there we made the final push toward home, with another fuel stop in Post Falls before finishing out the day.

By late afternoon we had the truck and boat parked near the Twin Lakes clubhouse. After a quick dinner at Moon Dollars, we made it back to the condo and settled in for the evening.

Tomorrow feels like another milestone day: putting Gusto into her slip at Bayview and beginning the next chapter.
