Getting Gusto: Day 4 ~ Bayview

Morning came with a bit of anticipation as we launched Gusto and finally got her tucked snug into the slip. After all the planning, waiting, sea trials, and miles on the road, it felt good to see her resting where she belongs.

Later in the day, Sonya and I made a trip over to Coeur d’Alene for a chiropractor adjustment, followed by a grocery stop at Super One to stock the shelves and get settled back into Idaho rhythm.

By evening, Austin, Carrie, Darren, Laurie, and Brady made their way out to Twin Lakes for a visit and dinner. Austin handled cooking duties and put together grilled chicken sandwiches. Simple meals always seem to taste better when there are a few people around the table and nowhere important to be.

After cleaning up, we settled in and watched a couple episodes of Scarpetta before calling it a night. A full day, but the kind that quietly checks a lot of boxes: boat in the water, family around, groceries in the fridge, and another page turned in this Idaho chapter.
