Scotland: River Findhorn ~ Fall Salmon

Inverness is an old and compact city nestled in a notch between the Firth of Inverness and the towns of Nairn and Forres to the east. I met Ian at a small country car park not far from the entrance to the Altyre Estate. I followed him in his vintage Range Rover Defender, dog crates in the back , along a well established wooded two track to his stream side fishing hut. Inside, photos dating back many years displayed delighted fishermen, beaming with salmon having been brought to the net.
